Ketamine Therapy in Delta, Utah
Medically supervised ketamine treatment for adults who have not found enough relief through traditional approaches.
What is Ketamine Therapy?
Ketamine is a medication that has been used in medicine for decades as an anesthetic and, more recently, in supervised low-dose settings as a treatment option for adults with depression that has not responded to standard antidepressants. It works differently than SSRIs and SNRIs by acting on the NMDA glutamate system, which may help support the brain in forming new patterns connected to mood, stress, and emotional processing.
At Delta Healing Solutions, ketamine therapy is administered in-clinic under monitoring by our medical team. It is a cash-pay service and is not billed to insurance.
Who Ketamine Therapy May Help
Ketamine therapy may be considered for adults who:
- Have been diagnosed with major depressive disorder or treatment-resistant depression
- Have tried two or more antidepressant medications without adequate improvement
- Cannot tolerate the side effects of standard antidepressants
- Are looking for a treatment option with a different mechanism of action
- Have completed a psychiatric evaluation and been screened for appropriateness
How Ketamine Compares to Other Depression Treatments
| Treatment | How It's Given | Insurance | Typical Best Fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| NeuroStar TMS | In-clinic, non-invasive magnetic pulses | Usually covered | Depression when medications have not worked; wants a non-medication option |
| Ketamine Therapy | In-clinic, medically supervised administration | Cash pay only | Depression when medications have not worked; wants a medication-based option with a different mechanism |
| Medication Management | Standard prescriptions with follow-up | Usually covered | First-line and maintenance treatment |
